I love this article, Deborah! As with writing, creating art is hard, it often requires many changes before a resolution is found. When an artist creates, it is amongst the highest level of thinking humans can do. I firmly believe this.

Qadri's paintings are incredibly mysterious, yet full of emotion. The color invites me in, making it hard to remove myself from them. His marks, textures, and motifs are balanced in a way that helps me feel centered when I look at them. His meditative emptiness speaks volumes. I am not religious, but there is a deeply spiritual quality to them. Aboriginal Dreamtime painting evokes very similar emotions and thoughts within me.

Thank you Michael. Yes, the Dreamtime paintings do the same for me as well. In fact the whole concept of Dreamtime I find fascinating. And the music the Aboriginals create strikes me in the same way.
